After 1.5 hours of suspension, access to internet has been restored, although some apps are still not working.
Earlier, after banning usage of social media, the government has decided to reduce internet speed. This decision was taken to prevent online communications.
On Wednesday, after the Supreme Court rejected the review petitions of condemned war criminals BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury and Jamaat-e-Islami secretary general Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed the government clamped popular social networking platform Facebook and online messaging and calling services WhatsApp and Viber.
