Grameenphone has taken an initiative to introduce high speed free WiFi Internet service for its customers nationwide.
By 2015, the company hopes to bring at least 30 important locations in the country under its WiFi services.
The pilot project will initially be available only to Grameenphone customers free of cost for the first three months.
A press release on Monday said this effort is part of Grameenphone’s ‘Internet for All’ ambition where it aims to make internet available for as many people as possible.
In the Wi-Fi hotspots, Grameenphone customers will see a Wi-Fi SSID named “GP WiFi” in the Wi-Fi option on their devices.
After connecting to the GP Wi-Fi SSID customers need to register with their GP number which will generate an SMS to the customer’s number which enables them to enjoy free Wifi service.
Aamra Networks will provide technical support to GP in this great initiative
